TCF and TEF Canada exam centres by city
You sit both exams at accredited centres. In Canada that is often an Alliance Francaise or a college; abroad it is usually an Alliance Francaise or an Institut francais. The exam content is identical wherever you take it. The venue, the schedule, the local fee, and whether the sitting is paper-based or computer-based all depend on the centre, and you book directly with it.

How much does the TCF Canada cost in India?
About ₹26,000 at the Alliance Française centres in Delhi, Kolkata and Bhopal, based on their published 2026 fees, and Delhi and Kolkata quote that price with GST included. Each centre sets its own fee, and not every Indian city offers the TCF Canada, so check France Éducation international's centre list before you plan around a city. Where can I take the TCF or TEF in Canada?
At approved test centres in most large Canadian cities, such as Alliance Française branches and universities. Each centre sets its own dates and fee, and some run only one of the two tests, so confirm the exam with the centre before you book. For Quebec immigration, some Quebec centres also run the TCF Québec. Is the TCF Canada the same exam everywhere?
Yes. The TCF Canada and TEF Canada use the same format and scoring wherever you sit them, in Canada or abroad. Only the venue, the available session dates, and the local fee change.
How do I book my exam date?
You book directly with the centre through its official page. Popular centres fill up, especially before Express Entry draws, so reserve your seat early and have a backup date in mind.
Which cities have a full guide on this site?
We publish a detailed guide only when we can verify the centre and add real, specific exam-day guidance. Cities without a full guide still link straight to their official centre page.
Why are some centres listed in French?
Because that is the language their candidates search and book in. The French-language guides, which now cover France, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Senegal, Ivory Coast, Cameroon and Canada, with Montréal, Trois-Rivières and Drummondville in Quebec, live under /fr/centres-examen.
