Refund Policy
This Refund Policy explains when and how TEF TCF Canada Practice considers refunds on Plans and AI credit packs. It forms part of our Terms of Service, and the version in effect on the date of your purchase governs that purchase.

1. Conditional Refund Eligibility
We use the phrase conditional refund eligibilityrather than "money-back guarantee" because not every purchase qualifies for a refund. By completing checkout, you acknowledge that paid Plans grant you immediate access to digital practice content and AI-powered services that begin performing on your behalf the moment you sign in. Once you access any paid feature, the purchase is treated as substantially performed digital content and is no longer eligible for a discretionary refund except as set out below.
Nothing in this section limits your rights under Section 7 (Statutory Rights Preserved).
2. Plan Refunds (30-Day, 90-Day, Lifetime)
A refund of a Plan purchase will be considered only if all of the following conditions are satisfied:
- Your refund request is received by us in writing within thirty (30) calendar days of the purchase date (not the access-start date and not the date of any subsequent renewal or top-up).
- You set your CLB target on your account at least seven (7) calendar days before the purchase, and have not lowered it since. Targets set, raised, or lowered within the seven-day window before purchase are disregarded for refund eligibility, and the most recent target preceding that window applies.
- You have completed, in good faith and with genuine effort, at least: three (3) full mock exams; ten (10) AI writing submissions of at least one hundred fifty (150) French words each; and five (5) AI speaking sessions of at least three (3) minutes of audible French speech each. Submissions consisting of placeholder text, repeated characters, silence, single-word answers, machine-generated padding, off-task content, content in a language other than French, or any other content that we determine in our reasonable judgment was produced primarily to satisfy this threshold do not count toward it.
- Your most recent estimated CLB level on the platform, calculated across at least three (3) sessions per skill, is below the target referenced above.
- You have not previously received a refund on this account, on any account sharing the same payment method, billing address, IP signature, or device fingerprint, or on any account we reasonably believe to be associated with you.
- You have not initiated a chargeback, payment dispute, or reversal with your card issuer, bank, or any payment intermediary in respect of the purchase or any other purchase on this account.
If every condition above is satisfied, we will consider your request and may, acting reasonably, refund the net amount paid — that is, the purchase price less (i) any transaction or payment-processing fees we incurred, (ii) the cash-equivalent value of any store credit, referral reward, promotional credit, coupon, or discount applied at checkout, and (iii) any taxes that the relevant tax authority has not refunded to us. We will respond within a reasonable period, typically up to ten (10) business days, and may ask follow-up questions or request additional information before deciding.
3. AI Credit Top-Ups
AI credits are consumable digital content. Top-up purchases are non-refundable once any credit from the purchased pack has been consumed. Wholly-unused top-up packs may be refunded within thirty (30) days of purchase, less transaction and processing fees.
Credits do not expire while your account is active and in good standing, but unused credits are forfeited on account termination for breach of the Acceptable Use Policy.
4. Referrals, Store Credit, and Promotional Credit
Where a refund is granted on a purchase that triggered a referral payout, the corresponding referral reward will be clawed backfrom the referrer's store-credit balance, and any portion of that reward already withdrawn, redeemed, or applied to a subsequent purchase will be reversed and may be recovered as a debt.
Store credit, referral rewards, and promotional credit have no cash value, are not transferable, are not redeemable for currency, and are forfeited on account closure or termination. Refunds are paid only to the original payment method.
5. Disqualifying Conduct
A refund request will be denied — and we may permanently revoke your access, terminate your account, retain payment, and forfeit unused credits and store-credit balances without further refund liability — if we determine in our reasonable judgment that:
- You provided false, misleading, or incomplete information in support of your refund request.
- You, or any account we reasonably believe to be associated with you, has engaged in a pattern of purchasing and refunding.
- You shared your account credentials, used automation, scripted any feature, or otherwise breached the Acceptable Use Policy.
- You initiated a chargeback in respect of the purchase before contacting us in good faith and giving us a reasonable opportunity to resolve your concern.
- You have publicly disclosed, redistributed, or reproduced any of our question bank, audio recordings, sample answers, AI feedback, or model outputs.
6. Statutory Rights Preserved
Nothing in this Refund Policy limits any rights you have under applicable consumer-protection legislation that cannot lawfully be waived, including the Ontario Consumer Protection Act, 2002 and, for residents of Quebec, the Consumer Protection Act (RLRQ c. P-40.1) and Civil Code of Québec provisions on consumer contracts. Where applicable law affords you a refund right we have not provided here, that statutory right governs to the extent of any conflict, but only to that extent.
7. Exclusive Remedy
Subject only to the rights preserved in Section 7 and to any rights expressly granted to you elsewhere in our Terms of Service, the refund process described in this Refund Policy is the sole and exclusive remedy available to you for any dissatisfaction with the educational outcomes, AI feedback quality, score predictions, perceived value, or accuracy of any feature of the service. You agree that no other remedy at law or in equity — including rescission, restitution beyond the amount paid, specific performance, or damages exceeding the limitation set out in Section 16 of the Terms of Service — is available in respect of such dissatisfaction.
8. How to Request a Refund
Email support@tcftefprep.com with:
- the email address on your account;
- the date and amount of the purchase;
- the order or Stripe receipt reference;
- the date and target value of the CLB target on your account at the time of purchase; and
- a brief written explanation of why you believe you meet the eligibility conditions above.
We may ask follow-up questions, request additional information, or review your activity logs before deciding. Incomplete requests may be deferred until the requested information is provided; the thirty-day window in Section 2(a) is not extended by an incomplete request.
9. Tax Treatment
Where a refund includes amounts collected as GST, HST, QST, PST, VAT, or other applicable taxes, those amounts are refunded only to the extent the relevant tax authority refunds them to us. Currency-conversion and payment-processor fees charged by your bank or card issuer are your responsibility.
10. Version Control
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The version of this Refund Policy in effect on the date of your purchase governs that purchase. New versions apply to purchases made on or after their effective date. We will post each updated version on this page and revise the "Last Updated" date and version.
